Albian Ajeti confronts Celtic hero Ramon Vega over criticism of Switzerland as the forward fires back “who is this? “
Forward Albian Ajeti insists he never heard from Ramon Vega after the former Celtic defender blasted his selection for the Swiss national team.
Ajeti received a surprise recall alongside Rangers forward Cedric Itten, who is currently on loan to German squad Gruether Furth.
The forward deputized for the Hoops in the recent absence of star man Kyogo Furuhashi with new forward Giorgos Giakoumakis also lacking in fitness.
But the team struggled with him in the lead and internationally Vega was unconvinced, remarking over the weekend: “I’m very surprised that Ajeti was called up and I really can’t understand it.

Now the Ange Postecoglou man has hit back ahead of the international break with the 2022 World Cup qualifiers ahead against Northern Ireland and Lithuania.
Ajeti told Swiss publication Blick: “Ramon Vega? Who is it ?

“We have to face the criticism. It’s football. It’s part of it.
“I can live with it. Of course, things can always get better, but I am struggling and doing my best.
