HELP Vega Baja needs help
AFTER supporting people for over 40 years, HELP Vega Baja is asking for help for herself.
The charity recently contacted the Weekly euro news, explaining that they have a project they need help with.
“One of the areas where we support people is providing information and advice when they are going through difficult times,” said HELP President Michele Masson.
“It can involve very emotional conversations that are not appropriate in an open office,” she told us.
“We frequently make ourselves available outside of normal business hours at our San Miguel center, but we have seen a marked increase in the number of occasions where visitors need to talk to us privately or maybe just want to talk to us in private. someone is listening or offering emotional support. “
Accordingly, HELP would very much like to have a private facility where they can offer this assistance. Meanwhile, the center of San Miguel has a small area that could be changed and would be ideal to meet these needs.
“Unfortunately, the Covid restrictions mean our fundraising events have been put on hold. We are therefore calling on a builder or handyman ready to offer his time and expertise to work with us on this project. We were setting aside funds for the necessary materials, ”said Michele.
“We appreciate that this is a ‘big request’, but this project would not only help the charity, but more importantly, it would provide tremendous support to people within the community.”
