VEGA officially inaugurates its new building

After a “slightly COVID-delayed” construction and handover, this meant the official opening had to be slightly delayed as well. Luckily, it also coincided with the 40th anniversary of VEGA UK’s founding, so a celebration was long overdue!

On May 25, 2022, guests from across the UK, Ireland and Germany were welcomed to the new UK headquarters, with the event starting with a welcome reception in the new training and demonstration areas. The building, named Metior House, was officially declared open and the ribbon cut by Isabel Grieshaber, CEO of VEGA Grieshaber KG and Ray Tregale, UK Managing Director.

After a pleasant lunch and music in the new café, the guests toured the building, sampled the products and learned about the various industries in which VEGA is engaged. It was then followed by an evening gala dinner with music and entertainment.

Managing Director Ray Tregale said: “Alongside our exciting product portfolio, this high quality building is our long-term vision and investment. We have carefully designed a spacious office, a service center, a flexible training and seminar room for generations to come. He added, “This demonstrates our continued commitment to supporting our colleagues, product users and engineers across all industries.

Metior House is located in a beautiful area of East Sussex countryside, yet close to Gatwick Airport, the M25 and rail links to London. For motorists, numerous parking and charging spaces for electric vehicles are available on site.

This award-winning, carbon-neutral building has ample workspace to provide support and service to all. “We are already busy organizing seminars and training for all types of businesses, the feedback has been excellent, we look forward to welcoming many more people here.” Ray concluded.
